Storage unit size guide
Picking a unit is mostly about how much floor space you need and whether you want to drive up to the door. Most units at Johnson City Secure Storage in Johnson City are drive-up, so you park at your own door instead of carrying things down a corridor.

How to choose
Think in garages. A 10×20 is about a single-car garage, a 10×10 about half of one. If you can picture your things stacked in a garage, you can picture the unit.
Measure the largest item, not the pile. A mattress, a sofa or a ladder sets the minimum footprint. Everything else stacks around it.
Leave a walkway. If you will visit often, size up so you can reach the back without unloading the front.
Vehicles need length. A car fits a 10×20 unit. A trailer or a boat can go in one of the parking spots instead.
